Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. That they must have a trophy or they would not survive.
The Sailboats are set to open their doors to the Red Devils in Sunday’s derby. The Dutch boss is the club’s sixth manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
Guardiola has reminded Ten Hag that managing a big ufabet club like United must lead them to success in the form of trophies. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to hold his own chair.
“If United trust and allow him to build a team with time each year. That would be good I can only say this,” said Pep.
“But he knows, I know, everyone knows it depends on the performance. I’m still here at City because we’ve won trophies in the past Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to live.”
“Eric knows that and not every manager will be there. If you can’t win trophies at big clubs, you run out of time, if you don’t win trophies you’re in trouble.”
Four straight league wins, with victories over Liverpool and Arsenal among them, saw him named Manager of the Month.
Guardiola is delighted for a man who worked under him for a year at Bayern Munich. During his days as boss of the Bundesliga champions.
